25 years ago, Some Assembly Required was preparing to go on the air in Minneapolis, for the first time.
To promote the upcoming debut, practically every “specialty show” at kuom had me on to talk about it.
A condensed remix of these appearances, including the sound collages played on each show, was the least I could do to mark the occasion,

There were hours of material recorded - and I couldn't resist putting all the music back in and adding some of my favorite kuom production elements from 2001.

Put it on while you're working, or even better, on your car stereo, on a long road trip. Yes, it's got an annoying central character who won't shut up about his new radio show, but aside from that, it's a fairly fascinating look into a couple of weeks at a midwestern college radio station, in springtime.
